SICC family and friends,
Amid all the concern regarding the Coronavirus we want to quickly update you on what our next steps include during this time.
We will not be meeting at the “church” building for Sunday services beginning this Sunday. At this point in time, gatherings are limited to 10 with social distancing being observed. We are planning to have Friday night study @ 8:30 pm this week while we observe social distancing. If that needs to change, we will contact you.
Our services and events from now thru April 19th are canceled. We are keeping up to date with the monitoring of what the City and State of NY are requiring us to do and will keep you informed as things pertain to us here at SICC.
However, please feel free to worship with us live on Facebook. If you are in need of prayer, reach out to me at (email@example.com) and I will share with the prayer team and congregation to pray for you as well. Furthermore, since we don’t have an online giving set up yet; feel free to mail your offering or drop it off at the church during this time).
We are keenly aware of how these closures are already impacting our SICC families and those who have lost their jobs and others waiting to learn when their last day will be. Continue to read God’s Word daily for guidance, wisdom and most of all peace in time of uncertainty. Though, we may not gather socially in groups more than 10, get outdoors if you can, spend time with loved ones, listen to worship music and praise the name of Jesus while you sit through this storm. Stay connected to one another as you connect with God through his truth…call, text, email one another, PRAY for one another. Pray for our brothers and sisters in the medical field, and first responders who are still working long hours. Pray that through this crisis people will experience God in ways they have never seen; that Jesus will be real to them and the answer to their questions about life, purpose, and eternity. Trust that God is working even when we do not see or feel him. ‘God is always on the move.’ ‘He never stops working.’
We are trusting God in the midst of it all; He is still in control. We are called to be a people who live by Faith and not Fear. We are not ignorant about the seriousness of this and we will continue to be vigilant both in prayer and our personal health responsibilities. May God continue to bless you and keep you.
